Budtender

Herb’s Premium Dispensary is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Budtender to join our team! If you have a strong work ethic, a charismatic personality, and a passion for cannabis education, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by educating and assisting customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs.
• Accurately process sales transactions using the Dutchie POS system (experience a plus).
• Maintain compliance with New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) regulations, including proper ID verification and sales procedures.
• Ensure all products are handled and displayed properly, following safety and inventory protocols.
• Stay up to date with NJ recreational cannabis offerings and product types, including terpenes, cannabinoids, consumption methods, and product effects.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and fully stocked with accessories.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to create a welcoming, professional, and compliant dispensary environment.
• Follow all security protocols and cash-handling procedures.
• Adhere to employee code of conduct provided by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in New Jersey.
• Must have open availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.
• Prior experience in a NJ recreational cannabis dispensary is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, terpenes, and consumption methods is a huge plus.
• Experience using Dutchie POS or similar dispensary point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills—charismatic, friendly, and customer-focused.
• Punctual, presentable, and reliable—show up on time and represent the brand with professionalism.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated retail environment.
• Must pass a background check per NJ-CRC regulations.
