The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Middleburg, VA-based team, specializing in managing construction and millwork projects for educational spaces.

As a Project Engineer, you will support project execution from start to finish, gaining hands-on experience while working closely with senior project managers. This role is designed for someone looking to grow into a full-fledged Project Manager, with exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in managing multiple construction projects focused on millwork and educational spaces.
Support project planning, material procurement, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
Review architectural drawings and specifications, assisting with submittals and RFIs.
Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project budgets, timelines, and documentation to support project profitability.
Participate in site visits, learning how to oversee installations and problem-solve in real time.

Who We're Looking For

1-3 years of experience in construction, specialty contracting, or a related field.

Background in technical roles, fieldwork, or hands-on project involvement (e.g., construction technician, installer, foreman, project coordinator, or trade school instructor).

Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, contracts, and specifications.

Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take initiative.

A team-oriented mindset with a "do whatever it takes" attitude.

Local to Middleburg, VA, or within a commutable distance (up to 1 hour).
