Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
This position is located in the Processing facilities at Herbruck Poultry Ranch. Employees perform routine duties while learning processing policies and procedures.
The following key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production machines, conveyor systems, and supporting equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
- Complete and document with accuracy all required forms.
- Maintain continuity between maintenance activities by documenting and/or communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Monitor and correct situations that activate the HACCP alarming control system.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Adjust functional parts of equipment by using hand tools, measuring devices, levels, and straightedges.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing personal networks, etc.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
