Production Maintenance Technician

Summary: Improve manufacturing processes by assuring that production equipment is maintained and meets the requirements of product production.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain mechanical functions of the equipment
• Maintain electrical functions of the equipment
• Maintain company facilities such as the lights, HVAC, infrastructure, etc.
• Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment
• Complete engineering, maintenance, and preventive logs to document activities
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to determine and implement solutions
• Maintain adequate tools
• Order parts and supplies as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and waste reduction initiatives
• Recommend new and replacement equipment
• Participate in cost-saving efforts as needed
• Perform snow removal as needed
• Maintain security systems
• Adhere to Federal, State, and local legal requirements and regulations for manufacturing and packaging
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Other Duties:

• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned

Level of Supervision:

• Perform duties with assistance

Contributes to Team Effort By:

• Participating in company safety program and supporting the remediation of all safety concerns
• Promoting safety and safe work practices

Work Environment:

• Plant production environment with requisite machinery moving parts, machine noise and vibration
• Work inside the main production facility where environment temperatures may fluctuate based on the season

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
