We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented intern to join the Herc IT Client Services team. The internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience and the opportunity to apply technical knowledge to support our business.
The IT Client Services Intern will work with the Herc Desktop and Mobile teams to learn how to provide end user support for Herc laptops, desktops, A/V, mobile phones and tablets. Additionally, the candidate will assist with documentation, reporting, and analyzing service delivery metrics.
- Provide technical support for desktop computers by diagnosing and resolving software/hardware issues.
- Performs duties associated with setup, configuration and installation of hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Performs setup and support for A/V technologies for meetings and collaboration.
- Assists in managing, tracking, and updating hardware inventory.
- Support the Desktop and Mobile teams in creating, reviewing, and maintaining knowledge-based articles.
- Delivering excellent customer service to end-users.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance desktop systems and user experiences.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Good knowledge of end point security and security principles.
- Working on an associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
- Excellent communication skills
- A reliable team player with a can-do attitude
- Someone who communicates clearly and respectfully with Internal Customers at all levels.
- Eager to help people and solve problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to analyze and deconstruct technical problems.
- Knowledgeable of Windows and MAC operating principles.
- Willing to take a hands-on approach to gain experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues with desktop, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Open minded, self-motivated and eagerness to learn.
- Humble and unafraid to ask questions and admit mistakes.
