Job Purpose
Opportunity to work alongside experienced in-house counsel and develop legal skills by supporting the Herc Rentals legal department. Gain exposure to various areas of law including commercial real estate, commercial contracts, including IT contracts and customer-facing rental and service agreements, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions and other legal related initiatives.

What you will do...
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced in-house counsel and develop legal skills by supporting the Herc Rentals legal department. Gain exposure to various areas of law, including commercial real estate, commercial contracts, IT contracts, customer-facing rental and service agreements, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and other legal-related initiatives.
Requirements
- Research various topics in US state and local laws and prepare related memos.
- Interact with other corporate departments and functions (accounting, finance, real estate).
- Review and edit legal documents including leases, non-disclosures agreements, letter of intent, and commercial contracts.
- Special project work as assigned
- Attend calls with outside counsel
- Pursuing a law degree at an accredited law school.
- Currently enrolled in law school.
- Completed a minimum of one year of law school.
- Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Lexis/Nexis or Westlaw skills.
- Ability to work between 16-20 hours/week.
