The Project Manager is primarily responsible for the profitable execution of assigned internal and external HVAC Projects and timely/accurate entering of customer orders. They will ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of the mutually agreed specifications of the project. $70,000-$85,000 DOE.

Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to analyze employee technical problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Acts as the liaison for execution teams on assigned projects. Develops project schedules and executes according to plan for assigned projects.
- Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or scheduling changes. Actively pursues additional work through change orders. Performs associated cost estimates, prepares proposals and negotiates, along with the Branch Manager, any final settlement price and customer acceptance.
- Coordinates with Estimators and Customer Project Managers detailed HVAC Product Submittals needed for the given project. Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and standards.
- Manages costs, billings and order entry. Completes project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
- Actively pursue change orders (fabrication of product outside of the agreed specifications).
- Analyzes financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.
- Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation.
- Manages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
- Ensure work performed is in compliance with the Customer’s expectations. Maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results.
- responsible for following consistent and repeatable project coordination procedures and processes.
- Coordinates with the Branch Manager for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed is in accordance with established standards. Facilitates escalation of product related problems.
- Periodically visits to jobsites to analyze the congruence between projects and the amount billed.
- Participate on weekly estimators’ meetings. Provide updates on landed projects.
- Administrate quote tracking sheet. Provide a list of quotes to the outside sales team and record job follow ups with competitive feedback.
- Participate in job turnover meeting with estimators after purchase order is received.
- Generate required project submittals.
- Request and complete job account sheets.
- Generate required project tracking sheet.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the branch manager to analyze current projects progress.
- Assists Branch Manager and/or sales in project development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field or an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of four years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
- Ability to read and interpret constructions drawings. With emphasis on mechanical drawings.
- Mechanically oriented.
- Extensive experience in the HVAC industry is required.
- Experience in dealing with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
- Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Adobe, and basic Windows environment. Auto CAD, CAMduct/ESTmep highly preferred.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
