Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Director of Human Resources to oversee all aspects of HR operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in HR functions, and possess strong interpersonal skills. As the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for managing ADP Workforce Now, conducting new employee orientations, overseeing exit interviews, and handling various HR-related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations with benefits brokers to secure comprehensive and cost-effective employee benefit packages.
  • Oversee and manage EEOC investigations, ensuring compliance with anti-discrimination laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate OSHA investigations and reporting, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and training programs to promote workplace safety.
  • Direct DLR investigations to address employee disputes and ensure fair labor practices.
  • Manage worker's compensation investigations, working closely with insurance providers and legal counsel as needed.
  • Handle unemployment claims and investigations, representing the company in hearings and appeals.
  • Develop and implement company policies, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead policy writing initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to establish clear and effective policies and procedures.
  • Drive policy implementation efforts, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Manage ADP Workforce Now, including adding employees to the time clock, maintaining employee records, approving timecards, and submitting payroll.
  • Conduct new employee orientations to introduce company policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Oversee exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees.
  • Coordinate annual performance evaluations and salary reviews for all employees.
  • Create and revise job descriptions to accurately reflect roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise the company handbook.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, including writing and placing job advertisements.
  • Manage benefits administration, including health, dental, and life insurance.
  • Track employee absenteeism, vacation, and personal days to ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management roles, with a strong understanding of HR functions and regulations.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Normal hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
