The Human Resources Manager is skilled in managing compensation, benefits, recognition, training, performance and employee relations in a manner that retains staff members long-term. The Human Resources Manager is tasked with ensuring that the Hercules culture welcomes a diverse population and supports each person in achieving career goals within the organization This position will have responsibilities across both sites in the Aftermarket Division, US (Clearwater, FL and Louisville, KY), but will be located in Louisville, KY.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Partner with the HR Director to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Resolve employee relations matters in an effective and efficient matter.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent for hourly roles in business, including making initial contact with applicants and scheduling on-site interviews, reviewing background checks and drug screens, ensuring all hiring requirements are met and in compliance with regulations.
- Provide an excellent new hire orientation and assimilation experience.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather data for trend analysis to improve attrition.
- Assist HR Director with all HR processes in partnership with the local leadership teams, including but not limited to performance management, merit planning, and talent and succession planning.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions, ensuring they maximize their benefits.
- Ensure compliance is kept with all governmental bodies within scope of the role.
- Own all aspects of leave administration, including short and long term disability, workers compensation, and job protected leaves.
- Respond to unemployment claims, attend hearings as needed on the company’s behalf.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs as needed.
- Partner with leadership team to drive safety and security initiatives.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout all human resource management activities.
- Partner with HR Director on various projects and initiatives to advance HR processes.
- Assist HR Director with programs for employee enrichment, including Mentor program, intern program, leadership development, DEI programs and all levels of recruiting strategies.
- Other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Qualifications:
· Education: Degree in Human Resources or related field (or 5 years of experience).
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as HR Manager or other HR designation. Demonstratable experience with Human Resources metrics.
· Leadership: Empathetic, strong, and able to see problems from both employee and business perspectives. Aligns goals and initiatives with the company and creates a better working environment for all employees.
· HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. Knowledge of HR and payroll systems and databases. Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
· Strategic Thinking: Ability to gain deep understanding of the company’s goals, objectives, and values to be able to align human resource policies and practices with the company’s overall strategy.
· Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
· Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

This role may require limited travel to the Clearwater, FL site.
