Operations Manager, 1st Shift
Monday - Friday, 6 : 30AM to 4 : 30PM
60,000 D.O.E.
The role oversees operations, facilities, and equipment management at a location, ensuring smooth delivery, warehousing, and resource utilization. Responsibilities include strategic planning, performance analysis, budgeting, problem resolution, and fostering cross-department collaboration. The position also involves employee supervision, training, and development while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage daily operations for delivery and warehousing to optimize customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute strategies to meet performance goals and budget targets.
Monitor operational metrics, resolve issues, and plan for short- and long-term needs.
Supervise, train, and develop team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and resolve inter-departmental challenges.
Maintain vendor relationships, evaluate services, and implement upgrades to stay competitive.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and initiate facility / equipment upgrades.
Supervisory Duties :
Manage teams, including interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
Direct managers or supervisors to delegate and oversee tasks effectively.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in building materials / lumber industry or equivalent.
Expertise in procurement, inventory management, customer service, and supervision.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Skills and Competencies :
Language Skills : Strong communication and persuasion skills for internal and external interactions.
Mathematical Skills : Proficiency in calculations, percentages, ratios, and data analysis.
Reasoning Ability : Aptitude for problem-solving, data analysis, and developing innovative solutions.
Computer Skills : Familiarity with order processing and delivery systems.
