What's the role?
We are looking for an Intern to join our team in Kraków area, Poland to be a part of an international group of over 50 nationalities who are creating services for the digital world of tomorrow.
We offer the opportunity for an internship to work on recent location / spatial data technology. You will be embedded and contributing to real world projects and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in bringing our customer oriented Map Feedback System to the next level
- Build and maintain services or libraries in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Working with attached databases (PostgreSQL)
- Expose features via REST services
- Deploy our services in AWS stack
Who are you?
You are a Software Engineer/GIScience/Geoinformatik student enrolled in an EU University, who is willing to take on the challenge of joining an agile organization that is doing groundbreaking work in the world of Spatial Data, Location Platform and Automotive Grade Software. Moreover, you should bring along the following skills:
- Programming in Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Ready to learn second technology as our projects are in both Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Knowledge of some database query language – optimally PostgreSQL
- Understanding of JSON data model
- Experience in writing tests and using testing frameworks, preferably JUnit
- Knowledge in React JS Framework will be helpful
- Basic understanding of Kotlin
- Documenting and presenting your work
- Open to learn new things, strengthen your software development skills, enjoy working and doing research in a tech team
- Communication skills in English, Polish is a plus
