What's the role?
The Team
The HERE SDK provides a set of programming interfaces that enables developers to build immersive native applications while leveraging our powerful and flexible Open Location Platform.
With features such as routing, turn-by-turn voice guidance, search, interactive 2D and 3D vector maps and much more, we allow our customers to develop powerful location-based applications natively on different platforms like Android and iOS.
To make all of that happen, and deliver the best quality in the market, we are growing our engineering team and are searching for an excellent C Engineer!
What you’ll be doing
As a C Engineer, you will be a key member of our growing SDK engineering team. This is an experienced position that requires expertise in the latest C standard. You are motivated to explore and deliver the best possible solutions to our customers with very high quality. You should have a strong passion for technology and a strong customer-centric product sense. You should enjoy working outside your comfort zone and love to learn new technologies.
Who are you?
- Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical degree
- Strong level of algorithm engineering
- Strong knowledge of C 11/14/17 improvements
- Experience with embedded development
- Cross-platform and platform-specific development (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows)
- Effective practice of the Standard Template Library
- Strong practice of object-oriented programming
- Experience with threading and IPC
- Comfortable with agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
- Very good command of written and spoken English
Would be a plus:
- Knowledge of Boost C libraries
- Experience with unit- and integration-testing
- Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
- Emphasis on parallel/async programming
- Experience with protobuf/protopack
- Knowledge of Databases
- Experience in using git as a version control system
