LTS-Math Specialist (JF)

POSITION TITLE:   Long Term Sub- Elementary Math Specialist 

REPORTS TO:         Building Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Long Term Substitute Teacher 2025-2026 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven Math Content competency 
• PDE ElementaryTeaching Certification
• Best practices in elementary math curriculum, instruction and assessment
• Familiar with core curriculum programs and digital tools for young learners in math
• Demonstrate an understanding of various assessment tools, data collection and analysis.
• Leadership experience in the child study process and deep understanding of the MTSS framework.
• Has a clear understanding of K-3 standards in mathematics and understands how to implement these standards into instruction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide math intervention to students
• Provide staff with coaching
• Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals
• Plans, develops, writes, and implements curriculum and educational programs in accordance with educational/treatment goals and students' abilities
• Manages student behavior to encourage best possible student educational experience
• Evaluates student's academic growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
