What are the responsibilities and job description for the HCAL- SECONDARY DAEP TEACHER position at Hereford ISD?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Work with both SPED and General Ed students in a DAEP setting. Working with Edgenutiy to complete course work required for the student to return to their home campus.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching certificate
- SPED certification preferred
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned areas
- Knowledge of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal-setting process and implementation
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- General knowledge of working with students in a discipline setting
- Working with Google Docs and Google Sheets
EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer at least 5 years of working as secondary teacher
