What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Supervisor position at Heritage at Brandon Place?
- Adhere to directives of Administrator and Director of Nurses.
- To keep the nursing facility in a clean and sanitary condition in order to provide for the welfare and core of the residents in a healthful environment.
- Must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, and perform task despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to performing task with due consideration for residents in area.
- Exercise initiative and judgment involved in maintaining assigned area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Must be willing to handle soiled, dirty laundry, and clean soiled, dirty lavatories, beds, chairs, and equipment within the nursing facility.
- Must have the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Previous experience in housekeeping services preferable but not essential.
- Possesses strong experience in the ability to hire, train, and supervise others.
- Must have knowledge in the use of cleaning devices, chemical cleaning solutions, and other cleaning equipment.
- Long term care experience desirable.
