SUMMARY:
This position, as a Copywriter and Cataloger, is crucial for cataloging handbags and luxury accessories for auction. The ideal candidate will bring a love for bags, strong writing skills, and social media expertise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately catalog handbags and accessories (i.e., designers, colors, leathers, styles, condition reports) for auction
- Spearhead catalog layout and production
- Supervise photoshoots and events
- Create strong content for Social Media platforms
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Though rare, work on weekends can be required. Must be flexible with accommodating the needs of the auction and related previews/events.
- 1 years working in luxury accessories, preferably in a similar capacity, i.e., condition reporting or writing content for e-commerce
- Experience with Jira or other ticketing programs
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook
- Social Media experience preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines
- Prior experience in an auction house is beneficial but not required
- Studied knowledge of key luxury brands and styles, especially Hermes, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton
- Handbag and accessory expertise a must
- Client-facing skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and readiness to take on additional assignments
- Computer competency and comfort in learning new programs
