We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Compliance Specialist Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, including HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act), BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), UDAAP, CRA, and other Banking regulations. This role requires a strong background in working with residential real estate loans and commercial loans. The Bank Compliance Specialist Lead will be responsible for ensuring the bank’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, leading the day-to- day compliance processes, and providing leadership and guidance to the compliance team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities (90%):
- Assist in day-to-day monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting of customer and account activity related to compliance regulations including but not limited to BSA, HMDA, ECOA, Flood, RESPA, and TILA.
- Perform reviews on loan files and deposit accounts to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and state laws.
- Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of company policies, procedures, and job aids
- maintain policies, procedures, processes, and forms.
- Train bank staff on compliance related programs, processes, and forms.
- Assist everyone who presents themselves to Heritage Bank, including internal and external customers, regardless of contact method, ensuring that the customer’s needs and expectations are met.
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities (10%):
- Participates in all required compliance training and demonstrates knowledge of compliance regulations relative to job responsibilities.

- Responsible for security as it applies to this position.
- Deals professionally with all internal and external customers, assisting them in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
- Serve as a backup in the bank lobby completing deposit transactions.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:- 2-year degree or 5 years equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of regulatory compliance experience in a Bank, with a focus on residential real estate and commercial loans
- Knowledge in HMDA and the Bank Secrecy Act
- Prior team leader or supervision experience preferred.
