OPERATIONS SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operations Specialist will report to the Manager-in-Charge and will perform a variety of tasks related to all aspects of distribution and day-to-day operations.
Operations Specialists will be responsible for:
- Customer order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)
- Using equipment to locate, track, and verify products for distribution.
- Supporting daily warehouse functions
- Performing routine housekeeping and inventory control tasks
- Daily environmental temperature monitoring tracking
- Receiving and processing incoming shipments from vendors
- Following SOP’s to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agencies
- EPCIS and shipping data transmission to authorized trading partners
- Management and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments
- Projects and/or other duties as assigned
In this role, he/she will have privileges to:
- Access areas where prescription drugs and devices are held
- Access essential business and inventory records as it relates to job function
- Access environmental monitoring platform
- Pick, pack, and ship product
REQUIREMENTS:
All Operations Specialists must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Bachelor's degree preferred*
- Basic Computer Competency
- Basic Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Must complete a drug screen with a negative result prior to handling prescription drug and devices
- Must complete and pass a background check prior to start date
- Ability to adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to stand for entire shift if needed, use hands and fingers or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Employees are regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic communications as they relate to business operations.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to solve simple math problems and analyze numbers as they relate to necessary job functions.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
