Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children to join our Early Childhood Education Team as a Floating Assistant Teacher. The ideal candidate loves to play, is flexible, and can seamlessly assist with any age group. They will ensure the safety and well-being of the children and strictly adhere to Virginia State Licensing regulations. Duties

Create a welcoming environment : Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere for children, parents, and the community.
Maintain a clean and safe environment : Ensure that all spaces are tidy, secure, and conducive to learning and play.
Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with colleagues to provide the best care for children.
Parent partnership : Establish and maintain open, effective communication with parents.
Feedback : Provide and accept honest, constructive feedback in a manner that is caring and supportive.
Caring and Empathetic Conduct : Interact with children, parents, and colleagues with empathy and respect.

Requirements

Willingness to participate in ongoing training to maintain and enhance professionalism.

Flexibility and willingness to support all classrooms and work with all age groups as needed.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility, but we will train the right person.

CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or completion of child development courses is preferred but not required
