Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Self-Hire. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to a gentleman with developmental disabilities. As a Self-Hire, you will assist him in achieving his personal goals and promoting independence through tailored care and support.
Duties
- Support person with learning to clean and organize his home.
- Help person prepare healthy meals.
- Support person with finding and participating in volunteering. He is interested in his local Fire Department and Ambulance Corps.
- Assist with finding and participating in activities of interest in his community.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role.
