Overview
Heritage Christian Services is seeking candidates for the Senior Direct Support Professional position. In this role you will be responsible for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Senior Direct Support Professional serves as role model for other support staff and provides support to a variety of residential locations as determined by the Associate Director. The Senior Direct Support Professional implements habilitation plans and all other support plans for each person throughout all on-site and community-based activities.
Pay rate for this position: $19.05 / hr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalency
- Valid driver’s license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards, and reliable transportation to and from work
- Minimum of six months of direct support experience is required. Two or more years’ experience working with people who have an intellectual or developmental disability is preferred; must be able to work effectively with a diverse group of people
- Ability to work a rotation of shifts and overnight hours is required
- Ability and temperament to work effectively with people with mental and physical disabilities is required
- Physical ability to lift and assist people with any needed personal care; ability to follow through with SCIP-R physical intervention training procedures as needed
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
