We seek a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their daily needs are met and promoting their independence and well-being. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's unique needs and preferences.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in your care.
- Support individuals in community integration activities, encouraging socialization and participation in recreational events.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with household tasks such as cleaning and organizing.
- Document daily activities, progress, and any changes in behavior or health status accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Familiarity with working with people who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Background in patient care or assisted care settings is a plus.
- A nursing or healthcare-related qualification is advantageous but not necessary.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives.
- Hours available; Monday, Tuesdays, and Friday 8 am to 8 pm

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
