What you will be doing
The Grounds Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the campus grounds, while also performing general maintenance duties. This role ensures that the grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing, while providing support in facilities management.
- Mow lawns with commercial walk behind mower.
- Snow removal, including plowing, snow blowing, and shoveling.
- Perform seasonal grounds duties including leaf-raking, mulch replacement, snow and ice removal, composting, seeding and aeration of turf.
- Perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, and HVAC equipment repairs.

About you
Have 2-4 years of groundskeeping and maintenance experience.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s license
- Experience operating snow removal equipment, including snowplows and snow blowers
- Experience operating and maintaining commercial mowing equipment, trimmers, and compact tractors.
- Experience with general building maintenance and repair.
