What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Heritage Cutter?
Berkshire Precision Tool, LLC, a leading supplier of American-made, industrial cutting tools is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Quality Control Department for our production facility located in Pittsfield, MA. The hours for this position will be 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The candidate will be responsible for final inspection of all parts. Must also perform calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipment. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word). Applicants also should be proficient in the use of inspection equipment.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined or have past Quality Control experience. Trade school or prior machining experience is preferred. We will train the right individual.

Responsibilities for Quality Control Inspector
· Performing final inspection of parts according to established inspection criteria.
· Calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipment
· Performing manual inspections correctly and accurately
· Proficient use of computer driven and automated inspection equipment
· Compliance with all safety and health regulations
Qualifications for Quality Control Inspector
· High School Diploma or GED
· Basic knowledge of Inspection procedures including: prints/drawings, critical dimension and tolerances.
· Basic knowledge of manual inspection equipment: micrometers, calipers, comparators
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
· Detail oriented with a good work ethic
· Possess good basic math skills
· Takes pride in assisting with the production of high quality American-made products
· Ability to follow written and oral instructions
· Ability to work in a team
