Assistant Principal- Heritage Elementary

There will be an Assistant Principal position(s) available at Heritage Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year. The Assistant Principal will assist the building principal in providing instructional leadership for the building; manage, administer and facilitate the daily operations, activities and events of the school; improve student learning; oversee all athletic programming; and, act in the capacity of the principal during his/her absence. 

Qualifications for the position include:  Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and school administration from an accredited college or university; three years of successful teaching experience; and, the appropriate State of Ohio certification/license. Alternative to the above qualifications as the superintendent and/or board of education may find appropriate. 

Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in SchoolSpring. 

External candidates must submit an external online application in SchoolSpring. A letter of interest and current resume, photocopy of applicable administrative licensure, four professional and one personal reference must also be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. 

All candidates are required to complete an online Principal Candidate Assessment sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled “Do Not Reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application”. Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
