Operations Group Manager
This position at the Orange, Texas Incinerator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Production team. This role involves leading a team of technicians to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant handling, processing, and disposal of hazardous materials. The Operations Group Manager ensures that all incineration processes meet environmental and safety standards while optimizing operational efficiency.

Operations Group Manager

Essential Functions & Requirements
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analysis.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of hazardous waste incinerator technicians.
- Manage workload distribution among the team.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the incineration equipment.
- Monitor the performance of incineration systems and make necessary adjustments.
- Oversee the unloading and handling of hazardous waste materials.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for the team.
- Maintain accurate records of incineration activities and prepare detailed reports.
- Monitor emissions and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the process.
- Coordinate spill response and clean-up activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, system modifications, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit reports (Logs) on equipment performance, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Lead the response to emergencies involving material and/ or Plant systems, performing immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members and operations staff.
- Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and expansions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. (required)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hazardous waste management, incineration operations, or a related field. (required)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience. (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and safety protocols preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must work well within a team environment.
