Position Summary
The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and leading a team of sales professionals. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, mentoring sales representatives, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. The Sales Manager will work closely with marketing, production, and customer service teams to align efforts and maximize results.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of outside sales representatives
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company goals and targets
- Monitor sales performance, set KPIs, and deliver regular reporting to senior leadership
- Lead by example in the field, conducting joint calls and coaching sessions
- Collaborate with marketing to generate leads and increase brand awareness
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activity, and product innovations
- Ensure CRM is properly utilized and up to date with all client interactions
- Assist with conflict resolution and escalated customer concerns when necessary
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of proven sales management experience, preferably in home improvement, construction, or exterior remodeling
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, JobNimbus, HubSpot)
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
