POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to assist the Learning & Organizational Development Manager and ensure proper and consistent training is provided to all credit union employees that will elevate and assess their knowledge and skill set. The training department will set the tone for all new hires to support the Great Worthy Cause and be in alignment with the credit union culture. This position is will assist with the design, build, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of credit union training. This includes but is not limited to facilitating and scheduling classroom training, coordinating with vendors, and ownership of materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate with cross functional leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to determine and develop potential learning solutions.

2. Develop, design, and facilitate new hire, leadership, professional, technical, and compliance training programs based on Credit Union needs, industry standards and best practices.

3. Assess organizational training needs, identify gaps, and develop training programs that align with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

4. Maintain skills by staying current on industry trends, techniques, strategies, and periodically shadow all positons for which training is provided to maintain a high-quality, relevant program.

5. Assist with the search, selection, and ongoing relationship with any third party training vendors.

6. Provide support in the form of mentoring and develop the knowledge and skills to act as a Subject Matter Expert in those areas for which training is provided.

7. Consult regularly with cross functional department leaders to keep abreast of any changes in processes.

8. Update training materials based on any process or regulatory changes.

9. Look for efficiency gains and process improvements through interactions with each department.

10. Maintain the training room(s), training equipment, and training materials.

11. Assist in developing, maintaining, and tracking team member training records.

12. Communicate training opportunities with team members.

13. Ensure compliance with and perform responsibilities of the role in accordance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures and any other relevant governing entities’ rules and regulations.

14. Assist Learning & Organizational Development Manager with special projects / reports as assigned.

15. Performs additional duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Performance is measured against the core competencies as outlined by the position and against goals established by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education / Certification : Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred or three to five years’ experience in training and curriculum development.

Required Knowledge : Thorough knowledge of banking and regulation principles. This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

Experience Required : Experience using general office equipment Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat

Skills / Abilities : Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Excellent project management, leadership, written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
