We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic automotive team. This role requires a limited understanding of automotive diagnostics and service processes, as well as excellent communication skills to facilitate interactions between customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon arrival and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including oil changes, shocks and struts replacement, alignments, and air brake services.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Follow up with customers regarding service recommendations and updates on vehicle status.
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service or repairs.
- Promote dealership services and automotive sales to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
- Familiarity with shocks, struts, alignments, air brakes, and other basic automotive components.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
