POSITION SUMMARY :
The main role of an Outbound Equipment Operator is to move products with the use of an RF scanner and forklift pallets from a storage location to a staging or pick location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Move pallets from specific location to another with the use of a PIT and scanner.
- Ensure that every pallet to be moved is properly stacked and the pallet wood is in good condition to avoid accidents.
- Advise Supervisor if pallet or product appears in poor condition.
- Ensure moved pallets contain a unique label on the right lower corner.
- Confirm moved pallets are placed in the correct location as determined by scanner.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing the duties of this job, Team Member is required to stand for long periods of time. Additional requirements include frequent lifting of material up to 75 pounds; frequently twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, and pulling; handling tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Work is normally performed in a warehouse / production environment. As part of the job requirements, Team Members may be exposed to work in a production setting and extreme temperatures (10 to 100 degrees) at times. Facility regularly processes known food allergens, including peanuts. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends, holidays and overtime.
