Summary
As a Sander at Heritage Hardwood Floor Co., LLC, you will play an essential role in preparing and finishing hardwood surfaces to meet our high standards of quality. This position allows room for growth and is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional flooring solutions that enhance the beauty and durability of our clients' spaces. Pay will be based on experience and raises are given if criteria is met within a set timeframe.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for sanding by cleaning, vacuuming and inspecting them for imperfections.
- Operate sanding machines to smooth surfaces of wood floors according to specifications.
- Apply finishes and sealers to enhance the appearance and longevity of hardwood floors.
- Work with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Assist with daily project site clean up at the end of the day.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with additional tasks related to flooring installation as required.
Qualifications
- Experience as a sander or the flooring industry preferred, but not required.
- If there’s no flooring experience- construction or remodeling experience is required.
- Knowledge of hand tools and sanding equipment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
