As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals in assisted living and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your core skills in caregiving will be complemented by premium skills in patient observation, first aid, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). You will work closely with residents, including those with Alzheimer's, to deliver compassionate care and maintain a safe environment. Your relevant experience in long-term care will enhance the quality of life for those you serve, making a meaningful impact in their daily routines. Heritage Haven is a small comprehensive care environment. Staff ratio is 1:5 on days and afternoons, and 1:10 on overnights. Hiring for full and part time positions. Rate of pay depends on experience and professional references. Looking for loving, caring, and compassionate individuals. Each house is a family style setting with 10 residents in each house with 10 private bedrooms and 10 private bathrooms. Duties include all activities of daily living such as assistance in grooming, bathing, and dressing. In addition, household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Must be a team player and go above and beyond what is expected.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with working in group homes and assisted living facilities
- Ability to provide patient care with compassion
- Previous experience in Alzheimer's care
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and social work principles
