FOOD PRODUCTION MIXER

HERITAGE HEALTH FOOD is a manufacturer of frozen vegetarian foods. The position we are trying to fill is for a "Prep Mixer" job. Mixers work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., but work until their work is complete. The mixing job involves heavy lifting usually up to 60 lb., is a strenuous and constantly busy kind of a job and involves standing on your feet for 10 hour days. A mixer needs to be able to follow directions, fill out paperwork, and have reading and math skill requirements. Having a dependable vehicle, being timely and at work every day is a MUST!

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Ability to read and follow food product formulas, run machinery to time specifications and standard operating procedures to make consistent and safe food product with every batch;
• Ability to operate equipment required to mix batches and follow housekeeping guidelines to maintain sanitary mixing conditions;
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and product formulas;
• Maintain a clean work environment;
• Be aware and follow all food safety rules and procedures in the execution of the job;
• Ability to write legibly for creating records and maintaining company documentation;
• Be aware and follow all equipment safety rules and procedures;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
