Responsibilities
Heritage Home Health Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals in the patient’s place of residence. In addition to performing visits and completing coordination of care, the OT is the point of contact for all disciplines involved with providing care to the patients. The OT follows agency, state, and federal policies and procedures. The OT will consult with the patient’s primary care physician, and attend meetings as required.
OTs must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently licensed as an OT in the state of Idaho
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred but not required
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in nursing practice
- CPR (BLS) professional certification
- General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications
- Possess a valid state driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
