Job Description
The Activity Director (AD) assumes the leadership of the Activity Department. The AD assist with the development and implementation of an activity program designed to meet the activity needs and interests of each individual resident. The Activity Director works as a member of a team under the direction of the Administrator.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Must be qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who is: Licensed or registered, if applicable by the State in which practicing; and Has two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one of which was a full-time in patient activities program in a health care setting or Is a qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant; or Has completed a training course approved by the State.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
