Summary:
The Landscape Install Team Leader is responsible for completing projects for our commercial clients. This includes training and developing team members and ensuring that all work is completed safely and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will be safe, hardworking, reliable, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Plan job sequencing to ensure team is efficient
- Assign tasks to team members to be completed in the safest manner
- Train and develop team members for quality work
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Operate heavy equipment to install, maintain, and repair landscape features.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Keep equipment clean and in good working order
- Assist with other landscape tasks as needed
- Communicate effectively with other team members
- Meet all deadlines and production goals
Qualifications:
- Strong physical fitness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with landscaping tools and equipment
- Driver’s license required
- Above average performance evaluation score
- Be recommended by Supervisor
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried, pulled and/or pushed) <5 hours/day
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours/day
- Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may be part of daily job duties >5 hours/day
- Must be able to work in summer and winter climates 10 hours/day
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
Experience:
- Operating Excavator: 1 year (Required)
- Operating Skid Steer: 1 year (Required)
- Operating Mini Excavator: 1 year (Required)
- Operating Wheel Loader: 1 year (Required)
- Landscape: 1 year (Required)
Language:
- English or are you Bilingual (Spanish & English) (Preferred)
