Landscape Mulch Team Driver (CDL-B Required)
Department: Mulch
Reports To: Specialty Supervisor
Summary:
The Mulch Team Driver (CDL-B) is responsible for driving the EB-60 mulch installation truck and assisting in the installation of landscaping mulch using the built in blower. The ideal candidate will be safe, hardworking, reliable, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Drive the Mulch Truck once training period is complete
- Service the truck and the mulch blowing mechanisms twice a week
- Clean truck bed as necessary when changing out colors of mulch
- Prep area where mulch is to be installed
- Connect and disconnect hoses and determine lengths necessary for installation of mulch
- Install mulch working with a team member utilizing the blower attached to the Mulch Truck
- Provide pictures of completed work daily
- Communicate daily with other team members and Specialty Supervisor to let them know of yards installed and needs for next day loading
- Record yards installed daily on work tickets in Aspire system
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- CDL B required
- Strong physical fitness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with landscaping tools and equipment
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried, pulled and/or pushed) <5 hours/day
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours/day
- Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may be part of daily job duties >5 hours/day
- Must be able to work in summer and winter climates 10 hours/day
- Able to climb in and out of truck
- Manual dexterity and coordination to operate vehicle and other equipment
- Have clear vision, with or without corrective lenses, and the ability to perceive depth and distance accurately
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift (Monday-Thursday unless rain day - makeup day required)
- Day shift
- Overtime
