Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and handling standards
- Assist in the planning and preparation of special events and catering services
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Ensure the quality of all food prepared, serving hot meals promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest requests and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory, supplies, and waste
- Participate in ongoing training and education to improve food preparation and presentation skills
- Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations and guidelines
Experience:
- 1 years of experience in a food service or culinary environment
- Proven experience in meal preparation and food handling
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
- Familiarity with catering services and special events
- Experience in a kitchen environment with multiple cooking stations and equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and communication
- Basic knowledge of the food industry and culinary practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary or hospitality degree preferred
Skills:
- Extensive experience in meal preparation and food service
- Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
- Strong culinary skills, including cooking, food preparation, and presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with food inventory management
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Familiarity with catering services and special events
- Willingness to help and assist with other kitchen staff as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service
- Certification in food safety and handling is an asset.
