What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychometrician position at Heritage Professional Associates?
Heritage Professional Associates (HPA) is a vibrant, multidisciplinary outpatient group
practice of approximately 60 clinicians (psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, clinical
professional counselors, marriage/family therapists) working at our offices in Hinsdale and
Wheaton. Given the continued growth in our practice, we are hiring psychometrists to work in
our Heritage Diagnostic and Assessment Center (HDAC), Hinsdale location.
Under the guidance of a neuropsychologist (licensed psychologist), the psychometrist will
provide neuropsychological assessment for adult and older adult clientele.
Responsibilities:
● Administers and scores paper and pencil and computer based neuropsychological
and psychological tests under the direction of a licensed clinical psychologist.
● Test batteries include assessment of psychological, personality functioning and
neuropsychological abilities (learning, memory, intelligence, attention and
concentration, executive functioning, language, visual/spatial abilities,
sensorimotor).
● Responsible for obtaining accurate and reliable results, recording behavioral
observations and data into an electronic medical record and maintaining a
standardized and valid testing environment.
● Maintains good communication with licensed psychologist, administrative staff and
HDAC Director through all aspects of the testing process.
● Completes other duties under the direction of the Director of the Heritage
Diagnostic and Assessment Center.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in the following fields: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education or related field; Either enrolled in doctoral program in psychology and have completed requisite assessment coursework or is certified in Psychometry (CSP)
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Clinical Psychology; Experience in Neuropsychology, Psychology or Psychoeducational Assessment; An advanced understanding of the administration and scoring of neuropsychological/psychological
assessment measures. If an applicant has testing administration experience but is less experienced with the tests listed below, they are still encouraged to apply.
Common referrals may include:
● Dementia (including Alzheimer’s or other neurodegenerative disorders)
● epilepsy and other seizure disorders
● vascular diseases including stroke
● auto-immune disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc.)
● Normal pressure hydrocephalus
● Traumatic brain injury
● Brain tumors and cancers
● Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and other medical/psychiatric disorders.

Compensation and Schedule
Competitive compensation, based on experience and skills. Psychometrist would be hired as
an employee (not independent contractor). Schedule is flexible, to be determined with
