Position Purpose: As the Bar Manager at one of Heritage Companies’ high-end luxury establishments, Smoky Note, you will be a driving force behind creating an unforgettable guest experience. This role combines leadership, creativity, and business acumen to oversee the bar’s operations, execute the world-class cocktail program, and maintain the luxury standards of the Heritage Companies brand. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, manage financial objectives, and collaborate on exclusive events, all while ensuring every guest enjoys a refined and memorable experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities: All Staff
Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Recruit, train, and mentor bar staff to maintain a polished, professional team.
- Schedule and manage staff to optimize efficiency and guest experience.
- Maintain a welcoming, upscale atmosphere that embodies the Smoky Note brand.
- Execute quality assurance to maintain the highest quality in the food and beverage program.
- Handle VIP clients and special requests with discretion and professionalism.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, exceeding their expectations.
- Maintain supplier relationships to source top-tier products.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain health and safety standards, including proper handling and storage of beverages.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and regulations.
- Uphold Heritage Companies’ brand values and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute private and corporate functions.
- Partner with the marketing team to promote the bar and its offerings through campaigns and social media.
- Host exclusive events to attract affluent clientele and maintain a prestigious reputation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bar manager in a luxury or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to deliver a premium guest experience aligned with a luxury brand.
- Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
