Assistant Production Supervisor (Woodworking Focus) – Will Train the Right Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Production Supervisor with woodworking and cabinet-making skills who’s eager to grow into a leadership role. You’ll work closely with our Prototype Department and current Production Supervisor to plan and execute jobs — from concept through completion — while balancing quality, timing, and customer expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in scheduling and coordinating jobs across production departments
• Ensure setups are consistent, efficient, and meet standards for both quality and safety
• Work hands-on with assembly and woodworking tools and machinery to support the team
• Participate in daily production, manufacturing wood and related components for displays
• Participate in and document quality inspections to support customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
• Help track project specs and document jobs
• Maintain safe practices and participate in machine maintenance/setups
• Collaborate with design and prototyping on new builds
• Support team workflow and contribute ideas to improve efficiency
• Communicate clearly with team members and vendors (email skills a plus!)

Who You Are

• You’ve built cabinetry or displays and understand how a shop runs
• You enjoy helping others stay on track and love solving production puzzles
• You’re safety-conscious, dependable, and eager to learn more
• Comfortable using a computer to write notes or send updates
• You bring a positive attitude and can thrive in a fast-moving environment
• You're equally comfortable leading a job or rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with machinery logic, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
• Understanding of graphic art principles and experience with:

Digital printing, Screen printing, Laser cutting, CNC routing

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and/or QuickBooks

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Occasional off-hours or weekend work to meet urgent customer needs (optional overtime)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour
