What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Heritage Smokehouse?
Heritage Smokehouse is looking for a Sous Chef and Line Cook to join the team
A good attitude & work ethic are a must
Working & managing service Tuesday-Saturday
Assist in managing and completing daily / weekly prep projects
Some basic butchery skills are required
Assist in menu development
Assist in ordering
Assist in weekly scheduling
Assist chef in training / teaching / staff development
Must have excellent knife skills & have sharp well maintained personal knives
Must be proficient at saute, fry, expo, meat & vegetable cookery, & sauce cookery
Knowledge or skill in cooking with wood is beneficial
Responsible for nightly checklist
Responsible for keeping a clean & organized station / kitchen and helping manage all aspects of kitchen cleanliness and organization
Must be clean and practice excelent personal hygene
Must come to work with energy and focus
