Responsibilities include the development and driving of a set of financial practices including planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis that provides insights that help management understand the financial implications of their decisions. This role is integral to the financial planning process, supports the company’s principal business decisions and financial performance and requires a blend of analytical skills, financial acumen, and business understanding.
This position will be considered a dual role, splitting time between Summit SD and Heritage Biologics. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). However, they will have access to sensitive company data.

Job Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Provide financial rigor to assure the company’s strategic plan reflects current financial and operational conditions that exist for the company.
- Gather, organize and analyze company-wide data to determine the financial health of the organization.
- Lead the development of annual budgeting process and coordinating cross-functional input into financial budgets.
- Maintain financial projections and operating forecasts.
- Produce regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into financial performance.
- Responsible for interpreting financial results including variance analysis and commentary on impact.
- Create financial modeling templates and ROI analysis for review and approval of business development opportunities
- Partner with department leaders to translate expense management decisions and maintain business metrics which support company strategic plans.
- Partner and collaborate with accounting team to gain full understanding of financial activities to effectively speak to results and manage projects as needed.
- Stay up to date with pharmacy and distribution economic trends.
- Analyze financial risk and industry opportunities.
- Analyze and monitor financial and operational key performance indicators (KPI’s) and identify unexpected variances.
- Perform duties supporting the strategic decision-making process in the business.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
- Proficient Computer Skills: Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite products & Adobe Acrobat) and experience with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers).
- Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft excel with a deep understanding of its functions, formulas and data manipulation techniques is essential.
- Must be familiar with navigating ERP systems which integrate various business processes and provide comprehensive financial data.
- Adept at using data analysis visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to create interactive dashboards and visual representations of financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication including presentation skills that summarize key findings, trends, and recommendations in a way that is easily understood by diverse audiences.
- Must possess interpersonal skills to enhance collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities, which are essential in a team-oriented environment.
