What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Service Associate position at Heritage Valley Health System?
Department: Linen Services
Hours: Daylight Hours, rotating weekends & holiday
Basic Function: Handles soiled or clean linen in accordance with instructions so that all linen needs of Heritage Valley Health Systems are met. Performs linen distribution duties as assigned, in accordance with established guidelines. Supplies all areas with an adequate supply of linen, and collects soiled linen for processing; records and reports any linen issues.
Qualifications
Required: Must be able to read and write, and understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to prioritize requests and pace workflow to complete all necessary tasks in a timely manner.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous laundry experience.
