Job Description:
Herkimer College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, on-site Technology Support Technician.
This individual will respond to support requests via ticketing systems, phone calls, and e-mails including but not limited to computer setup and configuration, audio/video equipment set-up and configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, end user training, communication with vendors for product research and support where directed.
Requirements:
Minimum experience and educational background:
- Associates Degree with minimum of 5 years working in technology support position; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office 2013/2016/365, Windows 10, and MacOS
- Experience with multi-media equipment, computer technology and production, included but not limited to video
- Knowledge of web technology preferred
- Familiarity with networking, telephony, and basic virtualization techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Excellent verbal communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Additional Information:
Salary range: $47,916 - $71,874 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
