Overview:
As a Campground Maintenance Associate, you are responsible for executing various maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functionality and cleanliness of the resort's buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. Reporting to the Facilities Manager & General Manager, your role encompasses a range of duties, including repairs, landscaping, safety compliance, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
1. Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as directed by supervisors.
2. Maintenance and Cleaning Programs:
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs, covering areas such as the pool, golf carts, lawn care, landscaping, garbage pick-up, site cleaning, propane pumping, laundry machine servicing, sluice cleaning, and other equipment upkeep.
3. Groundskeeping and Landscaping:
- Ensure cleanliness in parking areas, roadways, playgrounds, fields, and all public areas throughoutthe Resort, including specific locations like the Creekside Campground, Hilltop Campground, Pavilion, Bear Garden, Miners Village, The Barn at Miners Village, and Miners Table Event Venue. * Care for trees, flowers, gardens, and all vegetation, involving tasks like leaf blowing, raking,weeding, tree trimming, fertilizing, transplanting, and shrub pruning.
4. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all Resort, federal, state, and local safety programs, following guidelines for the operation and storage of equipment, tools, and chemicals to ensure a secure work environment for staff and campground guests.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive, and helpful to guests' needs. * Report all customer problems, requests, or complaints to the Maintenance Supervisor(s) or General Manager.
6. Additional Tasks:
- Remove personal items from business areas when not in use, maintaining a clean and organizedworkspace. * Clean up golf carts after use, preserving their appearance and functionality.
Expected Results:
- Ensure campground buildings, facilities, and grounds are well-maintained and fully operational.
- Complete projects properly, safely, and within budgets.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with guests, management, and team members.
- Use safe work practices to create a secure work environment for staff and campground guests.
- All tools and equipment accounted for, and in the same condition as received.
Job Qualifications:
- Self-driven, hard-working, dependable, and focused on providing exceptional customer service.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and holding oneself and the team accountable for results.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation, chemical properties, handling, and propane/gasoline dispensing.
- Valid Driver’s License to operate the company pickup truck.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email, Google Drive, and Google Chat.
- Availability to respond to needs during non-business hours while on-call.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
- Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
- Operation of various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment.
- Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel.
- Operation of equipment such as golf carts, tractor, lawn mower, etc.
- Frequent work inside and outdoors in various climates.
- Capability to move safely over uneven terrain.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
