Position: Housekeeping
Job Type: Part-Time. Seasonal.
- The resort is open to the public from April 11th - to November 1st, 2024 - There are multiple positions available for Full Time & Part-Time work.
- Start/End Date Varies based on availability & occupancy
- Paid on-the-job training is provided.
Responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting guests, and following detailed procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the Resort.
Housekeeping responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning public bathrooms at the Riverside Campground, Mountainside Campground, and Miners' Village, as well as cleaning and setting up rental cabins for guests, completing inventory/ stocking supplies, and completing tasks as requested by your direct supervisor.
Specific Duties:
- Provide excellent guest service throughout the Resort.
- Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition, and a proper KOA uniform and name tag.
- Perform the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs for specific buildings and facilities as outlined by immediate supervisor/ manager.
- Follow specific cleaning and sanitation procedures while preparing rental cabins for guest use. This includes removing used linens, deep cleaning the entire building, resetting linens, making beds, and completing inventory on items in cabins to monitor theft/ reporting missing items to direct supervisor.
- Bring all lost and found items to main office with cabin number and date on them. If it is something valuable, it needs to be given directly to a housekeeping / front main office supervisor to ensure it is locked up immediately.
- Report all broken or damaged items within all campground buildings, facilities and premises.
- Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to your supervisor/ manager and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible.
- Follow specific cleaning and sanitation procedures while cleaning event venues (Miners' Table Diamond Room and The Barn at Miners' Village) between events.
- Completing additional daily tasks as directed by your direct supervisor/ manager.
Expectations:
- Clean and well-maintained campground buildings.
- Job duties completed in an efficient, timely manner.
- Guest Survey Reviews reflecting satisfied happy guests as related to the cleanliness of the campground and attentiveness of housekeeping staff.
- Friendly greeting, smiles and professional attitude dedicated to serving the needs of our guests.
- An attitude that demonstrates cooperation and team spirit with all staff members.
- Timely reporting of all guest concerns and requests, as well as, follow-up and corrective action on the areas under the team member’s capabilities.
- Using safe work practices to avoid accidents of both guests and team members
- Careful handling of equipment (Company Vehicles, Golf Carts, and Supplies).
- Well-groomed appearance and appropriate, clean KOA uniform and name tag.
- Attention to detail.
Job Qualifications:
- Hear and speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Valid Driver's license is required to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
- Ability to drive and operate a golf cart/ minivan.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
