As a Sales and Design Specialist, you will receive a competitive base rate and a no cap commission on your items that are shipped. You will also be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, parental leave, 401k w/4% match, commuter benefit up to $150 per month, employee discounts, and more!!

About this Opportunity:

As a HermanMiller Sales and Design Specialist you will provide guidance and education through a demonstration journey. With the primary goal of guiding our clients to the products that will assist with their wellness journey. As an industry leader for over 100 years in office furnishings and iconic home, finding the right fit and function for our client is our Service Mission.

Our Sales and Design Specialists are responsible for being an authority on our HermanMiller products, ergonomics, features, and benefits through regular training and self-guided study. It will be your responsibility as a brand ambassador, to deliver the HermanMiller Client Experience.

Demonstrate, Educate clients, offer Fit solutions, and build relationships every day as you...
  • Create an authentic educational client experience as you guide clients on their wellness journey. Deliver outstanding customer service, product knowledge and engagement fostering a team dynamic.
  • Prospect for new business by reaching out to new customers, growing existing customers, and developing A&D relationships; build a customer base.
  • Process transactions and sales orders according to company policy.
  • Ensure that visual and experiential standards are always met.

This might be you if have the following skills and abilities...
  • Retail sales or customer success experience preferred
  • High energy and personal engagement skills
  • Experience with a POS system and proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3D rendering programs
  • Able to routinely move objects weighing over 20 pounds and to understand safety requirements
  • Schedule flexibility to meet the demands of our clients and promotions, which requires working on weekends and holidays, and one hour before and after operating hours

A starting compensation range for this role is $16.05 - $20.20. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs. The company offers a full spectrum of benefits including Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Day Care Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Vacation and Parental Leave), Holidays, 401(k), and Short/Long Term Disability, in addition to other special perks reserved for our associates.
