We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our company in Houston, TX
Responsibilities
Support and assist with
- Deliver ongoing training programs to employees. (Existing work force & new hires, weekly, monthly, annually) Develop Best Safety Practices
- Develop site specific and corporate safety protocols in conjunction with current Hermann Services objectives Develop, work with, and enhance Safety Committee
- Prepare warehouses for state, federal, and/or customer audits
- Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment is available and properly utilized
- Responsible for OSHA reporting and recordkeeping
- Work with 3rd party Worker's Compensation claims administrator in managing claims and return-to-work
- Positively promotes Hermann to customers and employees
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in business or related field
- Proficient in Excel & Word
- Familiar with OSHA Compliance
- DOT knowledge
- Familiar with State, DEP and local codes
- Hazmat and Dangerous Goods knowledge and experience, including IATA/IMDG training
