Responsibilities:
- Support of customers with telephone and on-site troubleshooting and diagnosis procedure
- Work in an unsupervised environment to provide installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance services for Hermle's products at customer locations in a timely manner
- Identification of machine spare parts for quoting purposes
- Briefing and training of customers
- Installation of retrofits
- Periodic overseas travel to Germany for learning the product line and maintaining that product knowledge
- Working with SAP-Software
- Daily work time reporting through time management system
- Weekly submission of service reports as well as expense reports
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested
Requirements:
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues of machine tools
- Knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Siemens control systems
- Proficient knowledge of electronic and mechanical aspects of CNC machines, preferably 5-axis machines
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics in machine tools
- Proficiency in using computers
- Professional Interaction with Customers
- Microsoft Office knowledge is mandatory
- Preferred locations: Milwaukee, WI / Phoenix, AZ / NC or SC / Windsor, Canada
- Extensive travel is required (including international)
